A Day at Lion Guardians Camp
“Our camp and its surroundings are truly alive, and being here always fills my heart with joy. It’s a place that allows you to reflect on the beauty of nature, culture, and all they offer.
Recently, our two resident male lions, Loisulie and Loteletha, brought down a giraffe near camp, and witnessing the scene was incredible. The lions, full from their feast, rested peacefully while vultures of all shapes and sizes circled above. Nearby, elephants were busy quenching their thirst at the waterhole, creating a perfect snapshot of harmony in the wild.
Back at camp, we were greeted by a variety of birds, their songs filling the air. To our surprise, a large monitor lizard paid us a rare visit, adding to the excitement of the day. Later in the evening, a herd of buffaloes appeared, a reminder of the abundance of life around us.
This is truly nature at its finest. With the short rains ending and the long rains approaching, we hope they will bring even more joy and life to this vibrant ecosystem and beyond.” ~ Eric Ole Kesoi, Community Manager at Lion Guardians.
