Murrans in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) turn up en masse for a chance to become a Lion Guardian!

“They’ve walked for kilometers on end to come and interview for a position as a Lion Guardian. We are thrilled; to-date we have interviewed close to 175 candidates from which we have chosen 25 murrans. After a two-week evaluation, we will choose the first ten Lion Guardians for the NCA. These are exciting times here in the NCA.” – Dr. Leela Hazzah, Executive Director, Lion Guardians
